Gospel Concert



On March 16th New Bethel A.M.E. Church led a gospel concert held in the historic Landis Theater in Vineland titled, "This is Why We Sing." Supported by the Cultural & Heritage Commission, participants and guests included from left to right Rev. D. Albert Turk of the Emmanuel A.M.E. Church in New York City, Rev. Evelyn E. Booze, Pastor of New Bethel A.M.E. Church of Vineland, Earl Arthur, the Program Chairman, and Matthew Pisarski, Coordinator of the Commission.


2011 East Point Artists Day



The 2011 East Point Artists' Day, celebrated this year on Saturday, September 17, 2011, was documented by noted videographer John Thornton. Sponsored each year by the Cultural & Heritage Commission, this free event is a day for families and individuals to enjoy the environmental beauty and artistic excellence of Cumberland County. The event also spotlights the continuing restoration efforts for East Point Lighthouse, built in 1849.


Statement of Mission
The mission of the Cumberland County Cultural and Heritage Commission is dedicated to the development and promotion of public interest in the arts and history of local and county cultural traditions.

Accessibility Statement
Ensuring that the programming supported by the Cultural & Heritage Commission is available to the widest possible audience is among the highest of Commission priorities. This includes access for people with disabilities. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was signed into law in 1990 and requires that all providers of public programs and services make those offerings equally accessible to all people regardless of any individual's physical or mental disability. The Commission is dedicated to assisting the Cumberland County cultural community both fulfill its obligations and bring the arts to all people. All venues utilized by the Commission are wheelchair accessible. Assistive services such as sign language interpreting, audio description, and open captioning are available upon request provided 15 days in advance.
